Before & After Your Treatment

  • Bring a complete list of your current medications, supplements, and allergies.
  • Know your relevant medical history, including autoimmune conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, and any previous cosmetic treatments (what, where, when, and how you responded).
  • Bring or note the skincare products you currently use, including prescription topicals.
  • Arrive makeup-free if possible so your skin can be properly assessed.
  • Think about your goals and priorities in advance; the more specific you can be, the better your treatment plan.

This is a one-on-one appointment with N.P. Charlotte Osler. Your skin and health history are reviewed, your skin is assessed, and a treatment plan is built around your goals, budget, and timeline. There is no treatment downtime because there is no treatment: this appointment is assessment, planning, and education. Come with questions; asking them is the entire point. For prescription skincare, expect a detailed discussion of how to introduce prescription actives (such as retinoids or pigment regulators), what side effects are normal during adjustment, and exactly when to check back in.

  • You will leave with a clear written or documented plan: recommended treatments, timing, and any prescriptions sent to your pharmacy.
  • If prescription skincare was started, follow the introduction schedule exactly; more is not better with prescription actives, and going too fast is the most common cause of irritation.
  • Book any recommended treatments or follow-ups before you leave to secure preferred timing.
  • Contact the clinic at (437) 383-8881 or info@elixir1.ca if you have questions once you are home.
  • None: A consultation has no treatment contraindications. It is required before injectable treatments precisely so that any contraindications can be identified safely.
  • Minors: Clients under 18 require a parent or legal guardian to attend and consent.

This guidance is general. Any specific instructions from your provider take precedence, and your medical history is reviewed before treatment. Questions before or after your appointment? Call us at (437) 383-8881.
